Today is International Women’s Day (IWD) and the theme or focus for 2022 is breaking the bias.
This theme is accompanied by the arms crossed at the wrists, across the chest.
The symbolism inherent in this gesture is immense. Crossed arms for protection; not just simple defence, but a protection of the heart which is the feminine co-parent of intelligence alongside the masculine brain.
Crossed arms at the wrists, looking like a bird soaring high in the celestial space.
The brain cannot function in true wisdom without the heart, the heart’s wisdom is meaningless without the facts and figures from the brain. That symbiotic relationship epitomises the equality needed between the genders, and whilst the bird can climb higher and higher into the sky, it needs both genders (head and heart) to support one another in order to truly soar.
